In Puri Rath Yatra can be summed-up in three words: Pulling Krishna Home.

Normally there is no question of pulling God anywhere, but on this festival, you can. As for God's home, it's not the kingdom where He reigns supreme, but rather the village He plays like a child.

And it is a fact that Krishna is pulled back to His childhood playground by His beloved devotees that makes this festival so sweet.
